What You Can Do with VNC

Using the VNC console you can:

  • Access the server login screen
  • Fix networking issues
  • Recover from firewall lockouts
  • Install operating systems
  • Troubleshoot boot problems

This is the same as being physically connected to the server.

Security Notice

VirtFusion displays an important warning when enabling VNC:

VNC access is not encrypted.

This means someone on the network could potentially monitor the connection.

For this reason we recommend:

  • Only enable VNC when needed
  • Disable VNC access once finished

How to Disable VNC Access

Once finished using the console:

  1. Return to the Options tab
  2. Click Disable VNC Access

This closes the VNC session and improves security.
