This is our budget tier on older Intel Xeon Silver silicon. It is genuinely useful for personal projects, learning environments, VPNs, bots and small workloads — but it is not the right tier for production websites, busy databases, MetaTrader or anything latency-sensitive. For those, the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X tier starts at £6/month and runs measurably faster.
The budget tier uses the same VirtFusion control panel as our AMD Ryzen tier. Same power controls, same VNC console, same OS reinstall, same network management. You are not getting a stripped-down panel because you paid less — the budget tier is the same platform, just on older silicon.
Our flagship AMD Ryzen 9 9950X platform is excellent for production websites, busy applications and trading workloads. But it would be silly to put a personal WireGuard VPN on a Ryzen VPS. Some workloads genuinely do not benefit from premium hardware — they just need a stable Linux box in the UK at a sensible price.
Older silicon than our Ryzen tier but more than enough for the workloads this tier is designed for. Stable, well-understood, datacentre-grade hardware that costs us less to operate — so it costs you less to rent.

None of these are corners cut on the actual tech — the VPS is real KVM with NVMe storage and full root — they’re the choices that make it possible to charge £1.75/month and still keep the lights on.
When you see "cheap VPS" pages advertising 16 GB RAM for £1/month, the corners being cut are usually elsewhere: OpenVZ pretending to be KVM, oversold RAM that you compete for, shared spinning disks, network ports running at 100 Mbps. We don’t do that. The budget tier is honest about what it is.
