As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency, performance, and fair resource distribution, VM6 Networks has updated its Terms of Service as of 16 August 2025. These changes reflect our evolving infrastructure and our dedication to providing a consistent, high-quality experience for all clients.
Weβve made two key additions that users should be aware of:
β Updated Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Our Acceptable Use Policy has been refined to better define prohibited activities and clarify our stance on network integrity. While weβve always prohibited illegal content, spam, and mining operations, weβve now explicitly outlined restrictions on Tor exit nodes.
We remain committed to working with clients to resolve any violations before taking action β our goal is always collaboration, not punishment.
βοΈ New Fair Usage Policies for VPS Hosting
To ensure equitable access to resources across our VPS nodes, weβve introduced two new Fair Usage Policies:
π§ Fair CPU Usage Policy
Each VPS is permitted to use up to 100% of its assigned CPU core(s) for short bursts (up to 45β60 minutes per day). Under normal conditions, sustained usage should remain below 65% per core to maintain node stability and prevent performance degradation for other users.
Excessive or continuous high-load activity may result in automated throttling, temporary suspension, or a recommendation to upgrade.
π Fair Network Traffic Policy
All UK VPS Hosting plans include unmetered traffic by default. However, once a VPS exceeds 20TB of outbound data transfer in a monthly cycle, its network speed may be limited to 200Mbps for the remainder of that cycle.
This policy helps prevent excessive usage from impacting other clients and ensures consistent performance across our infrastructure.
If your project consistently requires more than 20TB per month, weβre happy to discuss custom solutions or dedicated bandwidth options.
